Cottage design STM 1700, year of 2008.
The cottage design with a total area of 940 square meters
The architects are Dmitry Golubev and Sergey Duzhkin, it is adaptation design of Stepan Apraksin.
Pine half-timber was used to build the cottage, (size 280x420-650mm). More than 32 logs of 8-12 m long have been used for house and roof system design.
The architects were challenged to create an outstanding and ultramodern house out of excellent mountain stone pine.
To date it is the most difficult project performed by our company, adaptation design only took about a month of work, but all architects’ ideas were kept, including the most innovative ones.
Several points should be mentioned here:
- the main room is a unique ample living room, that stretches to every side, its area is more than 120 square metres,
- huge stained-glass windows fill this room with the light and air.
- geometrically complicated roofing of 700 m in a total caused an extra attention while designing rafters,
- traditional wooden columns have naturally been replaced by concrete story posts,
- from any point of the surrounding scenery one can see that this modern log-house deserves consideration due to its complicity and impressiveness.
